Inspire Me Dog Training’s goal is to provide dog training and behavioural services that are professional and affordable. All owners deserve the opportunity to be able to have their dogs trained and problem behaviours eliminated. We do this by teaching owners to develop the skills required to become competent dog handlers, while developing mutually respectful relationships with their dogs.
Inspire Me Dog Training uses Classical and Operant Conditioning, however, uses and promotes the use of positive reinforcement, rewards-based training.
Owner and operator, Michelle Farrow is an accredited National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF) behavioural dog trainer and has mentored from Glenn Williams, founder of the Victorian Dog Training Academy. Michelle has also undertaken further study in Separation Anxiety, Reactive Dog Training and Aggression in Dogs.
Michelle initially undertook the NDTF Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training to assist with the rehabilitation of her ex-rescue husky, Dakota, who had a traumatic past (after being chained outside to a house his entire young life). Because of her personal experience with Dakota, she had a desire to assist Arctic rescues with rehabilitation and training. Unexpectedly, her passion for rehabilitating and training ex-rescue dogs, particularly Arctic breeds turned into a business and this is when “Inspire Me” was created.
Michelle also owns a boxer Odin, who is her training dog and is used as a demo dog and for reactivity / aggression cases. Michelle has had experience with a broad range of breeds including, Giant breeds, Mastiffs, Bulldogs, Working Breeds, Herding Breeds, Hunting Breeds and even the most smallest of breeds, including Chihuahua’s and Toy Poodles.
Michelle is also an Animal Ranger (and former police officer) and with all this experience, this enables her to make precise decisions, observe body language and to effectively problem solve in order to come up with solutions to assist you with your dog and their training.
